What We Do
Beach Cleanups
At Save Oceans, we organize regular beach cleanups to remove plastic, debris, and harmful waste that threaten marine life. These events are more than just cleaning; they’re about creating a hands-on impact and seeing the difference we can make. It’s inspiring to work alongside people who care about our planet and to leave the shores cleaner for everyone. Every piece of trash removed feels like a small victory for marine animals and their fragile ecosystems.
Raising Awareness
We believe that change starts with knowledge. Through workshops, social media campaigns, and school events, we spread awareness about the dangers of overfishing, plastic pollution, and ocean acidification. Our goal is to educate and inspire others to take action. Whether it’s encouraging someone to use reusable products or to think twice about their seafood choices, we’re empowering our community to make sustainable decisions that protect our oceans.
Building A Community
Saving oceans isn’t a solo journey—it’s a collective effort. At Save Oceans, we’re building a passionate community of like-minded individuals who care about marine conservation. From students and teachers to local businesses, everyone has a role to play. Together, we share ideas, plan initiatives, and motivate each other to do more. Being part of this community is like having a family united by one goal: to protect and preserve the beauty of our oceans for generations to come.
How Does It Work?
Sonakshi’s (our founder) mission starts with simple but impactful actions that anyone can join. She organizes clean-up drives, inviting children, students, and families to help remove waste from beaches and water bodies. Through interactive sessions at schools, she educates students about marine conservation and inspires them to adopt eco-friendly habits. Sonakshi engages with her neighbourhood by discussing small changes, like reducing plastic use and supporting sustainable fishing. Each baby step—whether recycling, spreading awareness, or joining a drive—adds up to a brighter future. Together, these efforts create a ripple effect, turning small contributions into lasting change for healthier oceans and marine life.
